開催趣旨 国際たまごシンポジウム in 京都 2018
卵は宗教や文化に関係なく、世界中で食べられている食品です。
一方、鶏には生命をつなぐ大切な細胞です。ヒヨコが生まれるのに必要な全ての栄養素を含んでいます。生命のカプセルとも言われ、細胞の増殖や分化、血管新生、免疫機能、骨や羽毛の形成などに係る生理活性物質の宝庫でもあります。
日本の卵消費量は年間一人331個で、メキシコ371個に次ぐ世界第2位 (2016年) です。また、日本人は生卵を食べる食習慣があり、卵の衛生や鮮度管理技術はもちろん、卵の調理・加工技術や健康機能に関する研究開発も世界に誇れるレベルであると思います。
今回、卵の安全と栄養・調理・健康機能を大会テーマとして、卵研究の情報共有を進めるため、国際卵シンポジウム in 京都 2018 を開催いたします。
卵に関する最新の研究成果を日本の京都から世界に発信したいと思います。

Purpose of The International Egg Symposium in KYOTO 2018
Eggs are eaten in different religions and cultures across the world.
For chickens, egg is a complete set of biological substances to generate new life. Eggs contain sufficient materials necessary to develop an embryo and give rise to a newborn chick. So, it is called a capsule of life and is regarded as a treasure trove of physiologically active substances related to cell proliferation, angiogenesis, immune function, bone and feather formation etc.
It is well known that Japanese like to eat eggs. In 2016, Japan had the second highest annual consumption per capita (331 eggs), followed to Mexico (371 eggs). Moreover, Japanese like to eat raw eggs. So, we believe that freshness and safety of eggs in Japan, its processing technology and R & D exploring its benefit for human health is at the world-class level.
We will hold the International Egg Symposium in Kyoto 2018 for the purpose of sharing information on egg safety and nutrition, cooking and health benefits. We would like to spread knowledge of the recent egg research to the world from Kyoto in Japan.

We invite authors to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the International Egg Symposium in Kyoto 2018.
The theme of the symposium is Egg Safety and Benefits for Human Health.
Please use the abstract template and guidelines to prepare your submission.
Email your completed template to nihontamaken＠gmail.com as soon as possible.
* Please send abstracts to submit your findings by June 15th*
The poster presenter (one person) will be free from the symposium fee and invited to the banquet after the poster presentation.
And the excellent poster presentations selected by voting will be given awards at the banquet site.
Abstract submission guidelines
Original abstracts for poster presentation should be submitted to fit one of the following four categories.
- Egg safety
- Egg nutrition and human health
- Egg cooking and egg processing
- Egg protein and peptide in human health
- Abstracts must be submitted via nihontamaken＠gmail.com
- Abstracts must be received by June 15th.
- The abstract template MUST BE USED. (Please download the template)
- Please ensure your entry is text only and does not include tables, charts or figures.
- The abstract should be a maximum of 250 words.
- All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Committee and if successful will be accepted and allocated as a poster presentation.
- A decision on the acceptance of your abstract will be made by the end of June.
- After the final submission deadline, abstracts are not edited by the organizers and author corrections will not be accepted.
- Abstracts should be checked for accuracy prior to submission.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
- Abstracts will be published in the Program only if the author has registered for the International Egg Symposium.
- Only registered delegates may present abstracts, therefore at least one author should register in full to attend the conference and present the poster presentation Three minutes oral presentation using 3 sheets (ppt data) by at the most 20 poster presenters will be performed on the morning session of 16th, October.
